The Fremont Communications Volunteers is a team of unpaid, communications professionals dedicated to serving the City of Fremont, California with public safety and emergency communications in times of disaster or community need. We are organized under the authority of the Fremont Fire Department Communications Division and, in times of disaster, operate within the scope of the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) as provided for by the FCC and FEMA.  As an ARES affiliate, we also provide communications for civic functions.
